Teach Meet

  • Date: 13th May (Thursday, Week 4)
  • Time: 4 – 6 pm
  • Venue: UCSSC Lake Ginninderra College, Belconnen
  • Price: FREE for members and pre-service teachers, $15 for non-members

Our annual teach-meet brings together educators from a range of different settings to develop skills and content knowledge, and to share practical, innovative and interesting ideas for your classroom.

This professional learning session caters for Primary, Secondary and College educators, and will include sessions hosted by academics from ANU and educators from our amazing local cultural institutions.

Hilary Brettell Early Career Teacher Scholarship

To honour a beloved and admired colleague, the ACT HTA is offering free online registration for this year’s National History Conference (see details at historyconference.org.au) for an early career teacher. If you are in your first three years of teaching and have a strong desire to develop your history-teaching skills, then apply by completing this Google Form outlining your experience and commitment to the teaching of History. The successful recipient will also receive 1-year free membership to the ACT HTA.

National Conference is Australia’s premier History teacher’s event. We know COVID has meant many people can’t travel, so for those teachers outside of WA we are offering you the option to attend virtually.
If you register before 14th March,  you will be entitled to select your sessions 48 hours before general delegates, ensuring you dont miss out on the session you wanted to attend.
