ACT National History Challenge

Congratulations to all the students and their teachers who participated in the National History Challenge this year. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to celebrate (in person) the work of History students across the ACT. Thank you to Telopea Park School for hosting us, and to Jason Holmes (Principal of Telopea Park School) for sharing the school’s 100 years worth of history with us.

This year’s recipient of the ACT Young Historian was Victor Li from Canberra Grammar School.

If you click on the image, you’ll be taken to a video of the ACT Chief Minister announcing the recipient.

Thank you to all the Cultural Institutions that continuously support not only the competition but also the ACT History Teachers Association. And, a thank you to Andrew Barr MLA for their support of the NHC.

Early next year we will be hosting the National History Challenge Launch for 2024. If you’re interested in participating with your students or as a judge, please let Ann know.
